Angry Birds creator, Rovio, buys out gaming studio

Rovio, the creator of Angry Birds, said it had bought out Futuremark Gaming Studios, the gaming arm of benchmarking software developer, for an undisclosed quantity. The attainment of the studio, which is known for its space-games such as Unstoppable Gorg and Shattered Horizon, comes a week after the launch of its recent game Angry Birds Space. Rovio is ?thrilled to have them on board?.

Angry Birds creator, Rovio mentioned that they had bought out the Futuremark Gaming Studio, which is known for its space-games such as Unstoppable Gorg and Shattered Horizon.

Futuremark Games Studio is the second acquirement of the company within this past year. Rovio bought out Kombo Animation Studio last summer.

As Rovio continues its rapid expansion in entertainment, publishing, animation and retail, the company will continue to pursue the best talent to join its team.
