The one and only launch party in North America for World of Warcraft’s Mists of Pandaria expansion will be held in Irvine, CA tonight at 9pm local time. ?For those of you lucky enough to be in the Southern California area, you will be able to attend all the festivities that are planned by Blizzard at the Irvine Spectrum Mall. ?Here’s a little snippett from the World of Warcraft website:
If you’re in Southern California on Monday, September 24, head down to the Irvine Spectrum Center between 9:00 pm and 12:00 am PDT and join us for the launch festivities, hosted in partnership with GameStop. We have exciting plans in store for you as we count down the final hours to launch. Here?s some of the stuff we have planned.
-A Challenge Mode duel between a team of skilled Blizzard employees and elite Blood Legion guild members! The fastest team wins, and we’ll have Blizzard eSports’ Rob Simpson shoutcasting with World of Warcraft lead encounter designer Ion Hazzikostas providing design commentary.
-Gamer/actress Felicia Day will make a special guest appearance with an exclusive look at the upcoming sixth season of The Guild.
-Blizzard?s Chief Storyteller Chris Metzen will be fielding questions live on-stage!
-Plenty of loot giveaways!
MMO ATK will be attending the event in full force. Reina and Kirk will be conducting interviews with fans and cosplayers, while Jordi and Michael will be manning the cameras and writing about their experience at the event. We have a few prizes to give away along with stickers to anyone interested in chatting with us.
