Storyline:

The first argon invasion took the world by surprise. Otherworldly and powerful, the motives behind the argon attack remain unclear. Destroying or reshaping everything in their path, they aren’t interested in resources, vengeance, or any other tangible motive. Their cold, inexorable advance was stopped only at great cost and by unifying the races of the world.

Though the world endures other troubles, a wary eye is kept on the argons as they reshape Northern Shara into a nightmarish, alien landscape. Small units of argons have been seen far south of their “borders,” and some within the federation believe the argons are positioning themselves for a final, fatal strike, while the allied races are distracted by internal and external conflicts.

Features:

Tera feature seven different races, two of which are familiar; Humans and Elves. The other races are the Popori who are ‘awakened’ animals, the Elin who are small guardians of nature, the Amun who were slaves of giants, the Baraka who are related to giants and lastly the Castanic who are fiery spirited and horned.

The classes are; Archer, Berserker, Lancer, Mystic, Priest, Sorcerer, Slayer and Warrior. They follow the general archetypes of tanks, melee dps, magic dps, ranged dps, healer and support.

There are three types of armor in TERA, light, heavy and robes and each class has their own signature weapons. Armor is shared across both classes and roles, and is not gender-specific until worn. Specific abilities of garments may vary from class to class.

There are six different types of crafting in?TERA, and your characters can learn all or none of them as you desire. Other than finding or buying patterns and materials, there are no training costs associated with “leveling” crafting, and you’ll even get a bit of experience for the process.

Parties (or groups) are a way for?TERA?players to team up and tackle challenges like BAMs (Big-Ass Monsters), dungeons, or roaming world bosses. Parties are also a way to complete “regular” quest content quickly, and in good company.

Guilds can participate in special?Guild vs. Guild battles. Once declared, for up to 24 hours, the competing guilds can “kill” each other on sight anywhere?PvP is enabled. A guild can be involved in up to three such battles at one time.

Dueling is an option for PvP but there are also other ways. PK is short for “Player Kill,” and works exactly like it sounds. At level 11 (on PvP servers only) you obtain a skill that lets you declare yourself an “outlaw.” You can then try to kill any player above level 11. However, when you are an outlaw, any player can try to kill you as well.? Deathmatches are team battles that can be held anywhere. They do not have the area or zone restrictions that PKs have. Select?Deathmatch?from the?Social?menu and organize a custom Team vs Team battle, inviting your friends and/or your enemies. You can even put your money where your mouth is and bet gold and items while battling 10 versus 10, or 5 versus 1 to show who is a master “murder machine.”

TERA‘s quests and storyline take you on a tour of three continents and hundreds of locations. The most challenging encounters are hidden away behind implacable teleportals. Each requires players to be at the top of their game, because the only ways out are carrying your shield or on it.

The Valkyon Federation is an alliance of seven member races that formed to battle the argons and provide stability to the continents of Arun and Shara. As a representative government, the federation has organized settlements around the world into provinces, each of which is administered by an elected official known as a vanarch. For players, becoming a vanarch is the ultimate accolade. As a vanarch, your character is the best of the best, a member of an elite group that has money, power, and fame. Vanarchs make decisions that affect every player on the server, and every player on the server can hold them accountable when it’s re-election time!

Tera is a stunning example of what an MMO can be in both its graphics and gameplay and is highly recommended as long as you can pay the subscription!
