Additional Features Announced For Ghost Recon Phantoms

Ubisoft today announced additional details on many of the new features
scheduled to arrive with the rebranding of Ghost Recon Online with Ghost
Recon Phantoms
. The feature highlights include a vastly improved
matchmaking system, a huge selection of new customization options, a
better new player experience and vastly improved graphics, textures and
lighting effects. These, and previously announced features, will be
available when Ghost Recon Phantoms launches April 10th on Steam.

The
new matchmaking system aims to address one of the biggest concerns
voiced by the community during early testing, introducing new elements
that will be used when balancing and creating teams. The new system will
create balanced matches based on a players level as well as their
available equipment and past performances, hopefully reducing the huge
level and skill gap that appeared all to often in past versions of the
game.

A new weapon customization system will also be
available, the ModMaster. This exciting new content will be available
with the release on April 10th and will allow players to fully customize
every weapon in their arsenal, including additional attachments,
modifications and camouflage options.

“We
wanted to find a way for players to differentiate themselves on the
battlefield and create weapons that fit their style, so
we created ModMaster to put that power in the hands of our players.
This new system is also more cost savvy for players and creates more
than half a million weapon configuration possibilities including fire
rate, handling, scope and ready-time decisions,”
explained Lead Designer Simon Davis.

The Ghost Recon
Phantoms release will also see drastic changes made to early level
gameplay in the hopes of delivering a more exciting and streamlined new
player experience. Compared to current versions the new release will
allow new players to access more weapons and engage in combat against
other novice players for longer periods.
