After many months of support from eager players the Dawn of Fantasy team are delighted to announce the official Steam launch date. The critically acclaimed MMORTS game will go live on April 1st 2013, under the new name of Dawn of Fantasy: Kingdom Wars. We have been assured that this is not a poor attempt at an April Fools joke, so feel free to get excited.
The game is only a little over a year old but it’s attracted thousands upon thousands of players for its unique combination of offline-style game-play with MMO style battles and mechanics. Existing players will be able to activate their copy on Steam soon, while new players can pick up this exciting title for $19.99.
The Dawn of Fantasy team have also announced an exciting list of changes ready for the Steam launch.
Socialization
New social features will give players the opportunity to keep in touch with brand new profile and chat windows.
Achievements
Brand new achievements have been added, including 30 new, unique and challenging activities. Whether you’re simply visiting another region or attempting to conquer the globe, there’s achievements around every corner.
Crowns for Gold
Destroying claims of pay-to-win, Dawn of Fantasy players can now exchange in-game currency (Gold) for the premium currency (Crowns).
Additional Heroes
New Heroes have been added to the Marketplace, adding more variety to abilities and play style choices.
