Dragon Ball Z for Kinect releases this October

Namco Bandai Games America Inc. has hit what fans have wanted right on the head, to immerse oneself in the world of Dragon Ball Z and be that Super Sayian that they have always wanted to be. Players will learn over 100 moves, including the legendary Kamehameha, with their own fists (we all know that was what you were waiting for).

The game was developed by Spike Chunsoft Co. Ltd and ?will be entering the Dragon Ball Z universe in an entirely new way,? says the press release. You will encounter the iconic characters, famous attacks and the unforgettable battles that will be ?authentically? created from the original series.

“There’s going to be no better feeling in the world for fans of the Dragon Ball Z series than standing in front of their screens and unleashing their own fists and raging blasts upon enemies with this game,” said Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing, NAMCO BANDAI Games America.

“The Kinect sensor has truly enabled the development team to finally realize the dreams of millions of fans of both the classic games and the timeless original anime. This game will truly represent the next generation of interactive entertainment in the Dragon Ball Z universe.”

There will be two modes to the game, ?Story Mode? and ?Score Attack? mode. Within its story mode, players will get a feel for the story of Dragon Ball Z in first-person for the first time ever. Players are required to move the same way that their character does and perform the same attacks or movement from a scene you may have remembered from the series itself. In Score Attack mode, you are able to defeat opponents 1-on-1 to get the highest score.

Dragon Ball Z for Kinect is set to be released in North America and Europe sometime in October. Let your inner Super Sayian be unleashed with no controller in the way this upcoming Fall.
