The famous event attracts thousands of players and fans, and not just for the opportunity of proving oneself. The eighth World Championship in the Intel Extreme Masters Series boasts an impressive $250,000 prize pool.

For the first time in the events history the final will be taking place in the Spodek sports arena in Katowice, Poland. However, that’s after the event travels to Shanghai, New York, Singapore and Sao Paulo. The January appearance in the Spodek sports arena saw over 50,000 dedicated fans walk through the doors, supported by over 5 million unique viewers on the ESL TV live streams. This is the first occasion that the final event has been held outside of its previous home in Hannover Germany.

Gaming superstars from around the globe will be competing for the prize pool in two of the biggest strategy titles of our time, League of Legends and Starcraft II.
