The character customization in games like Guild Wars 2 and Skyrim are amazing. ?I literally spend the first 2 hours figuring out how awesome I want my character to look. ?The extreme detail you are able to create can really make your RPG experience all the more realistic, which in turn, makes you want to play the game more (at least for me).
When I delve into a new MMORPG that has little to no character customization, there is little chance that I spend more than a few hours playing. ?I’m sorry, I just can’t get in to a game where everyone looks the same.
How do you feel about character customization in games? ?Is it a turn off if you can’t fully customize your avatar or is it little more than a small bump in the road?
