League Of Legends Toxic Community Costs

League of Legends may have earned the reputation as one of the most popular
games of our generation but there are other elements of the popular
MOBA
that hit the headlines. The developers, Riot Games, recently
revealed that they will be temporary closing the League of Legends
community chat rooms following a string of complaints from players
due to the toxic behavior so often displayed by its community.

The news comes
from a new post on the official forums in which the developers
highlight the problem of trolls, in-game cash sellers, spam and
scammers, as the main reason behind the temporary closure of the
official chat channels.

“At
the end of the day, when you log in you should feel like you’re
surrounded by active players that like to play League the way you do.
You should be to able jump easily into games with those friends – –
without having to send game invites one by one.”

Private
chat channels between friends are still available, as are the current
grouping features and mechanics. The public chat rooms will return
once the developers have created a new system that’s both “useful
and accessible” to players.
