Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios today announced the release of several new Tier 6 ship options for Star Trek Online, introducing new options for higher level players based on the real models of iconic ships from the Star Trek universe. Those that have pledged allegiance to the Starfleet ways will be excited to explore a new Andromeda Class Exploration Cruiser, an upgraded Tier 6 version of the Galaxy Class Exploration Cruiser. Those brandishing the blades of the Klingon Empire will wield the mighty Negh’Var Heavy Battlecruiser and the dangerous Romulans will introduce D’Khellra Battlecruiser Warbird to the galactic battlefield. All 3 of the new ships have been given a high-quality facelift akin to the recent Pathfinder Class update
Accompanying the new additions to the games arsenal of ships are a series of new items and item improvements, alongside additional costumes and bonus updates. All of the ships introduced today come equipped with the Molecular Cohesion Nullifier universal console, a new item that causes AoE damage to nearby enemies while providing a damage resistance buff to the ship. A passive bonus to max sub-system power levels is also applied.
Finally several new costumes have been added to feature in the new ships, although these costumes can be used in other vessels once unlocked.
