Grinding Gear Games today announced that content update 2.1.0 for Path of Exile is now live, introducing a huge variety of new content including additional skills, more spells, extra items and the highly anticipated debut of Rigwald, the Wolven King. The introduction of update 2.1.0 also marks the beginning of a brand new league with the commencing of the Talisman Challenge Leagues on both Standard and Hardcore versions of the game. The new leagues offer a fresh server for new and returning players to explore, offering new opportunities on an equal footing for all players regardless of previous characters or past experience.
The Talisman Challenge Leagues see monsters possessed by Ezomyte talismans and powerful amulets infused with the power of the First Ones. The mystical powers provided by these relics fill creatures with unknown powers, making them a far more difficult opponent than was previously possible. Those brave and skilled enough to fell these new enemies will earn the right to wield these new talismans.
As is traditional with the Path of Exile content updates, update 2.1.0 brings with it a huge host of new unique items, spells and support gems. Alongside brand new skills and abilities for bow users and poison based attacks.
