Gaijin Entertainment today announced an upcoming addition to its action-based World War II MMO, War Thunder, with the revealing of an exciting revenue share initiative for user generated content – a very similar program to Sony Online Entertainment’s Player Studio. Some players may remember an event back in April that gave the War Thunder community the opportunity to design, upload and share missions, skins, planes and tanks on a new community hub, War Thunder Live.

Currently the user-created content is only playable on local PC following Update 1.43, but today’s announcement means some players will have the opportunity to earn some revenue share. Gaijin Entertainment are going to select the best user-created content and integrate it directly into War Thunder, making it available and visible to all members of the community.

Those successful with their user submitted content will be able to earn up to 25% of the adjusted gross revenue from any sales their content makes.

“Empowering
our players with the ability to create, share and earn through War
Thunder Live exemplifies the dedication and passion of War Thunder’s
fantastic player base, encouraging our community and fans to contribute
to the game via this initiative can only make the game a richer and more
rewarding experience for players everywhere”, – said Creative Director
Kirill Yudintsev.
