North American & EU Publisher Revealed For Black Desert Online

2P.com today revealed information surrounding the North American, EU and Russian Federation plans for the publishing of the highly anticipated Korean sandbox MMORPG, Black Desert Online. Recently rumors surfaced on a number of popular forums suggesting that the NA and EU publisher of Black Desert Online will be a “familiar” one and although us Western gamers may not be all that familiar with the Daum team, they’re a big name in the Korean gaming market.

Daum Communications, the same company publishing Black Desert Online in the Eastern markets, will continue to publish the game with the EU and NA release, according to a new article published on the 2P website. The Russian Federation will see a different publisher take the helm with Gamenet.RU publishing the title.

The post also included some details on upcoming testing events for Black Desert Online with the first wave of closed beta invites expected to arrive for Korean players in August or September, before an open beta 2-3 months after. Sadly this does mean that Western players could well be waiting until the early months of 2015 before they get their hands on it but from what we’ve seen so far, it’s going to be worth the wait.
