October Update Live For Infinite Crisis

Another dose of superhero MMO news for you today but this time for Turbine’s increasingly popular free-to-play closed beta MOBA, Infinite Crisis. Earlier today Turbine announced that the eagerly awaited October update is now live, bringing with it one of the most anticipated features in the games history; custom matchmaking.

The new matchmaking option allows pools of players to join a lobby on an unassigned team. Players are then able to select which team they wish to represent before the match begins. This makes playing in larger groups much easier and greatly aids popular streamers that like to involve their communities with the Twitch.TV integration, also released with this update. Currently only 5v5 matches will be available with the new matchmaking system but Turbine will be introducing more modes in future updates.

This update also sees the preview of the upcoming Amplifier system, new items that give players additional control and customization over the Champions they use. If you already have access to the Infinite Crisis closed beta you may want to check your inbox as Turbine distributed tons of free friend keys to current players.
