Path of Exile Prepares For Release

Grinding Gear Games has been hard at work preparing their action RPG for what seems like ages now.  We had our first look at Path of Exile in early 2012 with a preview video and spoke with them earlier this year at GDC 2013 on the progress of their title.  With the game finally coming out of open beta on October 23rd with release on Steam, Path of Exile is taking to the streets to talk about what we can expect upon version 1.0 of their much-hyped title.

Among the new additions that the free to play action RPG will include at launch include the new prestige class called the Scion.  The Scion requires a higher skill than any of the other classes, and as such is not unlock-able until released form her cage later on in the game.  New Zones and Shrines are coming to the end of Act III and include a zone made up of gardens, leading to a dark and ominous library and finally a giant tower that leads to the final showdown with Dominus.

Check out MMO ATK for more information on Path of Exile.  Also be sure to check out the game when it launches on October 23rd.
