Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Beta Extended Amidst Sea Of Problems

Ubisoft today announced an unexpected extension for the Closed Beta testing period for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege following a flood of issues currently causing problems across all platforms. The Closed Beta nature of the game should make it glaringly obvious that players will encounter bugs but that hasn’t stopped Reddit, Twitter and the official forums being flooded with complaints from disgruntled players.

The majority of complaints are centered around current access restrictions. Those that have pre-ordered the game at various outlets should have received their key yesterday, but many are reporting this was not the case. Likewise today, many are still waiting while it appears most of those entering through giveaways and other means are good to go.

Ubisoft appear to be listening however as the team announced an extension to the Closed Beta period, which will now run through until October 1st.
The GOOD news is that for those who have received their access, the experience has been trending positively! We’ve been getting good feedback on the content of the beta, and matchmaking and server stability have already been improved. There are still a few issues to work out, of course, and we will continue to do that over the course of the beta. Given the current situation, we’ve made the decision to extend the Closed Beta by 3 days. It will run through Thursday, October 1st.
