Tribute to Leif Erikson in the world of Einherjar

Appirits, the Japanese developer of a Norse-themed web game Einherjar ? The Viking?s Blood has just announced their latest in-game event from October 3rd through the 17th to honor Leif Erikson, the Norse explorer who brought the first Europeans known to have set foot in North America (excluding Greenland), nearly 500 years before Christopher Columbus.

During the event, there will a brand-new Leif Erikson?s set of items created only for this event with the following effects:

– Leif Erikson’s Shield (+5 def in battle)
– Leif Erikson’s Sword (+5 str in battle)
– Leif Erikson’s Emblem (+5 int in battle)

These items can be used in battles only and will not be traded at the market.

But the game developer has emphasized that players should not use them during this period because three players with the most Leif Erikson sets (1 Shield + 1 Sword + 1 Emblem) will be rewarded as below.

– 1st place: Old Spear + 3 Hel Stone
– 2nd place: Old Axe + 2 Hel Stone
– 3rd place: Old Rapier + 1 Hel Stone
– Other participants: 20000 gold

Please note that players must collect at least 3 Leif Erikson sets to be qualified. The game system will automatically track players? logs to determine winners and distribute prizes on Wednesday 17 October 2012.Besides, experience and drop rates in expeditionary battles will be tripled only on 9 October 2012!
