If you haven?t already heard enough about Assassin?s Creed III, there is more to be brought onto the table. Now lead writer Matt Turner, has claimed that the new game will feature more of Desmond Miles, the main protagonist of the entire series.
“All I can say about Desmond’s story is you’re going to experience more Desmond than you’ve ever had before,” Turner said “We’re spending more time on the present than we have in past games. It’s a big part of our story and I don’t really want to give too many details away because I want people to experience what that is,” Turner added. “But rest assured, you’re going to see a lot of Desmond. More so than in any past game.”
Despite the creative lead, Alexandre Amacio stating previously that Assassin?s Creed II was the end of the Desmond?s journey, they must have changed their mind on things.
Over the years, Desmond has already played a huge role within the games themselves. As the descendant of both Altair and Ezio, Desmond has seen plenty of screen-time in all four Assassin’s Creed titles.
Turner didn’t disclose much about the context of how Desmond will factor in to the story of Connor, but Ubisoft has said that Desmond’s story will come to a close prior to the in-game date of December 2012.
Assassin’s Creed III is set for an October 30th, 2012 release on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Wii U.
