MLG announces online qualifiers for first LoL arena

Major League Gaming has announced the Online Qualifiers today for the opening League of Legends Summer Arena. They begin on July 10th when players begin competing in two regional qualifiers in North America and Europe. Each of the regions will have a team of 32 players, a single elimination bracket, and all the matches will be the best of three.

The players who get first place will receive an all-expenses paid trip to New York City to compete for $10,000 at the League of Legends Summer Arena from August 3rd until the 5th.

If you?d like to register for the qualifiers they are open now for both North America and Europe and it is $50 a team. Players are only allowed to register within their own home region.

The schedule for the competition is as stated below:

NA Region Competition Schedule: (Each day’s matches begin at 8pm ET)
Tuesday, July 10: Round of 32
Thursday, July 12: Round of 16
Monday, July 16: Quarterfinals
Wednesday, July 18: Semifinals
Friday, July 20: Finals

EU Region Competition Schedule: (Each day’s matches begin at 6pm CEST)
Tuesday, July 10: Round of 32
Thursday, July 12: Round of 16
Monday, July 16: Quarterfinals
Wednesday, July 18: Semifinals
Friday, July 20: Finals
