Dark Souls looks like it will be taking another dive into the gaming world with its new sequel?Dark Souls 2 in the upcoming future. With its predecessors,?Demon’s Souls for the PS3 with its challenging difficulty and Dark Souls?with its ?Prepare to Die? slogan, this next one should be appealing to all of its fans.
“Of course, it’s not over yet,” Takeuchi said. “You have to go back to our roots, which is King’s Field. We’ve made many games in that series. We’ve always been enamored by dark fantasy action RPGs. That’s just been our core DNA and I think we’ll continue to utilize that.”
“We’ve always been about making games for the core gamer,” Nakajima told GameTrailers. “And they weren’t necessarily games that did well financially, which is too bad. The success of both Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls, which have each sold over a million [copies] per title worldwide, has made us shift our thinking internally to not just core gamers, but to globalize our products, that they can be successful on a worldwide scale?.
When talking about whether or not there will be a PC release of the upcoming game, Takeuchi mentioned that it will, ??be a decision left up to the publisher, Bandai Namco, but yes, we have seen the comments and we do know of the desire for a PC version”.
Overall, the new confirmed game will excite fans and have them looking forward to the future.
