The developers of Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade took to the official boards today to publish the latest State of the Crusade entry, inviting players to discuss several of the biggest concerns currently surrounding the games future, including the controversial elements of the in-game premium store features.

Although diving into other topics and elements related to current development tasks it was the mention of premium elements that stirred the largest of responses from the eager community. More depth of discussion can be read in the article itself but we’ve highlighted the key aspects of the discussion surrounding premium options

  • The store will feature alternative items to those found in-game, these will not be more powerful
  • Players will be able to purchase exclusive items not available outside of the store, but these will be mostly cosmetic
  • Unlockable features, the ability to play Necrons for example, will be available at a premium cost and used to help fund development
  • No features will force players to use the store
