As with everything in life, things eventually end. ?The same holds true for MMO games. ?They just can’t go on forever. ?Loss of subscribers, loss of player base, studio losing money and stale content are all reasons why a game may eventually get shut down.
The latest victim of MMO Death is City of Heroes. ?The developer had exhausted all options to save the game, including selling the studio, selling the rights, selling the intellectual property. ?But in the end, their efforts were?unsuccessful.
If you are a player of said game, what do you do? ?Do you have a back-up game? ?Do you search for the next great MMO? ?Do you sulk around on a forum or message board and relive lost tales until you can fully recover?
