Blizzard today revealed details on an exciting new update heading to the world of Azeroth with the announcement of a new method of paying for subscription time and purchasing in-game gold, the WoW Token. The WoW Token will be a new in-game item in World of Warcraft that will act as a new means of exchanging gold and game time between accounts and other players.
Players will be able to buy WoW Tokens through the premium store in-game and then sell it on the Auction House for gold at the current going rate. When a player purchases WoW Tokens from the Auction House it becomes Soulbound and can be redeemed for 30 days of subscription time. Not only does this provide a new method of purchasing game time but it’s also sure to help in the fight against the constantly growing gold selling market.

The WoW Token was created to give players with lots of extra gold the option to use it to help cover their subscription cost, and give those who want to purchase gold a way to do so from fellow players through a secure, easy-to-use system. The Token will be making its debut in an upcoming patch—in the meantime, check out the FAQ below for details on how it works.[/quote]
