Over 2,000 Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn fans attended the first ever European Final Fantasy XIV Festival in London this past weekend as Square Enix revealed more details on the upcoming expansion, Heavensward.
Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida took the lead with a presentation at the opening ceremony as he flying mounts, new beast tribes and Primals, and the first job addition seems the games release, the Dark Knight. Two flying mounts were revealed to those in attendance, a flying Chocobo and single-rider airships, each offering players new avenues of exploration as they soar across the world of Eorzea.
Two new Primals, Bismarck and Ravana, will be making their debut alongside new Vanu Vanu and Gnath beast tribes. The Dark Knight, a popular class from FFXI, will offer a familiar style for the FFXI veterans, providing a tank-type role supported by a two-handed greatsword and darkness based abilities.
Naoki Yoshida concluded the presentation with a teaser for another potential new job arriving with Heavensward with a shooting style gesture on stage. Fans can expect more information at the next Fan Festival event taking place on December 20th in Tokyo.
