The upcoming update, dubbed File Island, will see the introduction of a variety of exciting new content including brand new maps and raid bosses. File Island has already made previous appearances in the fabled franchise as it was featured in both Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 2. Players can expect to dive into a world of fresh new content when the File Island update goes live next week, April 9th.
Three new maps will be included, each with their own air of ambiance. The Village of Beginning will provide the perfect locale for players looking to keep their feet up, while the Silver Lake is the perfect destination for any young and romantic couples. Finally the Silent Forest will provide challenges for even the most skilled of tamers.
The new zones may appear tranquil to tourists, but in reality they’re anything but. Two of the new areas will hold brand new raid bosses. Kuwagamon stalks the eery depths of Silver Lake, Meramon patrols the skies of the Silent Forest while Ogremon stomps the grounds below.
A new, limited-time questline will also be introduced in the form of the Guard the Fire Island chain. Players will be challenged to find a number of random-drop items before returning them to an NPC for a variety of interesting rewards. This event will cease on May 7th.
