Larian Studios today announced that the incredibly successful Kickstarter funded RPG, Divinity: Original Sin, will be entering its first beta testing phase with its upcoming Steam release sometime during the first week of April. Divinity: Original Sin began its journey on Kickstarter almost a year ago and following the backing of big YouTube names like Angry Joe and Total Biscuit, the game smashed its $400,000 funding goal – raising a staggering $944,282. The isometric co-op multiplayer RPG has enjoyed a very successful post-funding year having scooped up a number of awards including Best RPG of E3.
The official Kickstarter page has been updated with a new developer blog post highlighting some of the new features that will accompany the beta launch including brand new regions, hugely expanded character customization and creation options, and a variety of technical improvements aimed at providing a more stable experience.
Larian Studios also released a rather lengthy new video that goes into great detail on the newly announced features as well as addressing concerns regarding elements that have yet to make it into the game. For more information on the new features check out the source link below.
