I’m getting kind of tired of the virtual hand holding when it comes to new games. ?When you begin they give you a long tutorial telling you exactly how everything works, they walk you through the first few quests and they make sure your diaper is changed before they let you go on your way. ?In RIFT they gave you a mount so early in the game you lost that sense of accomplishment later on when you actually felt like you earned it.
Now i’m all for a little help to get your sense of direction in game, but always loved the way older games were like “alright, you’re ready to play? Go!”
What about you? ?Do you think that newer games give you too much in the early game? ?Does it make the game seem too easy?
