Namco Bandai Games and BUGBEAR have released their free to play racing game into Steam’s Early Access. The game features asynchronous multiplayer along with 10 tracks and more than 20 cars at the launch.
At this point the game plays out more like a time-trials racer. Players will try to best their time on the different tracks and can also compete against other players times as they climb up the global rankings. You will be able to level up your cars and earn booster cards to help you gain an edge over the competition. Fans are already up in arms over the extremely aggressive monetisation methods that are in place, but that’s something we should probably expect from a free to play racer. The developers will continue to release new tracks and cars as it develops a following.
