Another day, another Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn story…Oh the fun. Naoki Yoshida, Producer and Developer of FFXIV, posted a new statement today offering additional details on server transfers and the return of official digital sales for the record-breaking Square Enix MMO. Today’s patch introduced a number of new servers to the game and coupled with the increased capacity update last week, we should be looking at a far more accessible game. The highly requested AFK kick timer has also been introduced, kicking players from a server after 30 minutes of inactivity.
For more information on this weeks Producer Letter you can visit the official Japanese forums here. I’m sure you can read Japanese with ease right? It appears the developers don’t feel its necessary to add that announcement to the English speaking forums so stare at the rather weird Japanese characters for the next day or two and I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it.
Yoshida did say that the servers performance will be monitored closely over the weekend and should everything prove successful, he hopes to restore digital purchases next week. Failing that you can always just buy a CD key from any of the dozens of retailers currently stocking them.
