Speculation coming from our Italian friends, as Activision Italy apparently told retailers to reserve space for Diablo III in time for a release on April 17th. Blizzard is tight-lipped on this, refusing to comment on rumors and speculation, though game director Jay Wilson mentioned an “all-important announcement” is imminent. When asked on Twitter how soon the announcement would arrive, on a scale of 1 to 10, Wilson replied, “9.” We may see something today from the European event, CeBIT 2012, as the Diablo III beta will be shown there, but who knows for sure (except Acti-Blizz, of course!)
