Legend of Grimrock is a old-school dungeon crawling game inspired by games like Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder and Ultima Underworld. The game works with a team of four people standing shoulder to shoulder who must always move in blocks. Although it may be a new experience for those who are used to the fast-paced RPGs, Legend of Grimrock may be a refreshing one.
The puzzle factor of this game is excellent, very similar to the feeling you would have after figuring out a temple in Legend of Zelda. Some are so difficult it may take you hours to figure it out but in the end it’s all worth it. With special mechanics for the way monsters attack and traps are activated, the game becomes a skilled experience. Not like DoD where you can run in, blade swinging, Legend of Grimrock requires much more finesse.
