Happy Valentine?s Day, EVE players! CCP has a very special present for you, in the form of a brand new Singularity server set to go live early Tuesday afternoon. If you?re unfamiliar with the phrase, Singularity is just EVE?s fancy word for ?test server.? These temporary servers provide EVE players with a chance to test out new game features or changes, and then report back to CCP so the dev company can make further adjustments.
If you want to participate in this week?s Singularity, you?ll need to pick up the SisiLauncher tool from CCP. Once you have it installed, you can sign on at 3:00pm EST for about an hour of Singularity testing. Testing will be pretty mild, with CCP focusing mostly on minor performance improvements and UI tweaks.
Any player that jumps into the testing environment will receive two million skill points to play with (on the test realm) and a few basic EVE accoutrements.
Are you the type of person that participates in testing, or do you leave that to the fanatics?
