Hot in the heels of the hugely successful recent launch of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon developers Niantic want to ensure their efforts in the franchise remain at the forefront of peoples minds with an exciting event announced for Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go originally launched back in July and was met with such a hugely positive response that developers Niantic really struggled to maintain the integrity of the servers.
Despite this the team kept ahead of the game, providing players with a variety of updates and improvements although many core elements are still yet to get the attention they need – such as the tracking feature that was removed several months ago.
Today the team issued a message to fans thanking them for their support during the rocky periods of the game and announced that they will be running a double XP and double Stardust event running from November 23rd to November 30th.

We are passionate about creating experiences that encourage exploration and promote exercise. We are humbled that hundreds of millions of you around the world have joined us on this journey. So we would like to say thank you – and what better way to say thank you than to celebrate our community.[/quote]
