Although the PS Vita is not the hottest selling item at the moment, game sales are going rather steadily in the Japan market. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan’s Gravity Rush has sold around 100,000 copies since its release. These numbers are by no means staggering, but with the poor performance of the Vita in Japan SCE is glad to be hitting the 100k mark on this title.
Gravity Rush, originally called Gravity Daze, sold approximately 43,000 copies in its first week and has been selling at a constant rate ever since. These numbers may seem impressive but if we compare them to, say, Nintendo?s original action game Uprising for the 3DS, which sold over 132,000 copies in the first 2 days, we can see why SCE is happy to get at least over 100k sold.
What do you guys thinks is the problem with the Vita? Why are the 3DS titles selling at three times the rate of the Sony titles? Let me know what you guys think below.
