Sony continue to impress with the latest reveal for the Playstation 4 MMO arsenal, the addition of the unique third-person MMO title, Warframe. It’s one of the fastest growing free-to-play MMO games on the market today and this latest announcement will finally give console players the opportunity to release their inner ninja and decimate their opponents. A playable demo will be available at E3 for those lucky enough to go.
?The fact that we?re developing Warframe for the launch of the PS4 this fall is unbelievably awesome,? said Steve Sinclair, creative director at Digital Extremes. ?The irony is not lost on me that our original sci-fi concept for this game was the first ever seen footage for the PS3 generation that never came to fruition until now. Exciting times are ahead with this next gen transition.?
Any announcement following the confirmation of PlanetSide 2 for the Playstation 4 would usually fall on deaf ears but Warframe literally went from a quiet launch to a massive success in just a few days. The developers have been relentless in their quest to update the game, with massive new features added on a regular basis.
The general consensus is that Microsoft had an epic fail in their Xbox One reveal and despite some big name games on the Microsoft shelves, they’re going to have to go a long way to top the current selection of MMO games on the Playstation 4.
