The folk over at ArtCraft Entertainment are sure to be cracking open the champagne today as the exciting prospect of KickStarter’s latest MMO success story looms ever closer as Crowfall raises a staggering $1,766,204 in funding. It was clear within days of the original KickStarter launch that the game had peaked the interest of the MMO community as it soared to over $800,000 in just 72 hours, and although the pace slowed a little, the support came pouring in right until the last minutes of the campaign.
With the original goal of $800,000 smashed in just a few days, Crowfalls following and potential could only grow day by day. As of the closing of the KickStarter campaign the game has attract almost 17,000 backers, almost $1.8 million in funding and a series of exciting stretch goals made possible by the huge support.
According to reports Crowfall’s huge impact on the KickStarter audience helped make the game the 15th most successful video-game project on the crowd-source funding site and 46th across all genres it supports.
