Elite Squad Of Developers Band Together To Create New MMO

Have you grown tired of the way MMO developers of today are far more interested in creating new ways to earn money when they should instead be focused on delivering a better playing experience? Well you’re not alone, and those supporting your cause boast a pretty impressive resume.

Earlier today Citadel Games announced that they are currently working on a “badass new sandbox RPG”, Shards. The development team consists of a pretty impressive pedigree of developers with previous work placements including Ultimate Online, Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer.

Basically,
you have a team that started “back in the day” on Ultima Online,
continued through big MMOs like Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer.
Finally, they left EA last year after getting sick of the industry’s
focus on finding new ways to make money off players, instead of finding
new ways for players to play. Details on the game are going to be scant
for a while,

Even with such little detail regarding the actual game, the founding principles of the studio speaks for itself. Stay tuned for further updates as they are announced.
