Blizzard’s critically acclaimed and increasingly popular free-to-play MMOCCG, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, has finally arrived on Android platforms following a release announcement earlier today. Players that want to take their MMOCCG experience on the go can now download the Hearthstone game through Google Play and the Android Appstore although it is currently limited to Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Blizzard announced that a worldwide roll out will take place in coming days.
“Hearthstone’s intuitive interface and approachable design make it a perfect fit for tablets, and we’ve put a lot of effort into ensuring players have a great experience on a wide range of Android devices. We’re excited to welcome Android players to the Hearthstone community, and we’re looking forward to bringing the game to even more mobile platforms—including phones—in the future.”
To help ease new players into the game Blizzard have announced the launch of a new event that will see players rewarded with one free Classic card pack, from the original cards available at launch, once they play a single game.
