Walt Disney Company today announced an unlikely partnership as Kabam Games are the latest to join the licensed developers working on the Star Wars IP as the veteran free-to-play developers set their sights on a new mobile RPG, Star Wars: Uprising. It is said that the game will bridge the gape between the events of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, taking place in the legendary Anoat Sector.
The setting allows for Kabam Games and Walt Disney Company to explore an all new chapter in the Star Wars franchise as this never before seen journey promises to introduce fans to new characters, location and events tied to the popular science-fiction IP. Many of the events will illuminate many of the dramatic happenings from other forms of Star Wars media as players will have the chance to explore Hoth and Cloud City, following the battle of Endor and the death of the evil Emperor.
Players will be able to learn hundreds of unique abilities, collect iconic gear and weaponry from the Star Wars franchise and take on their own band of next-generation heroes to fight the remaining evils in the galaxy.

I really like the art style in that trailer. I know it’s not gameplay – duh – but that is a good, clean, still-stylized take on Star Wars. Wish SW: Rebels looked like that instead of exactly like Clone Wars, you know?
