While most of the United States was sound asleep Tuesday morning, Nintendo
was creating a buzz announcing their next generation Pokemon installment. Pokemon
X and Pokemon Y will be for the
3DS and will present the first truly redesigned 3D world for the series.
The Pokemon Company CEO, Tsunekazu Ishihara, confirmed that the games are due
to launch in October and obviously present new pokemon and an original
storyline. He includes that, ?fans across the globe can discover the secrets of
Pokemon games and can collect,
battle, and trade with each other immediately.? It?s clear that Nintendo is finally
taking another step toward connecting their fan base on a global level.
The best details came from series creator Junichi Masuda, as usual. The Game
Freak director stated, ?We brought Pokemon
into an entirely new dimension and we?re incredibly excited to bring Pokemon X and Pokemon Y to fans. The stunning visuals, a completely redesigned
environment, game scenario, music, and communication features will bring smiles
to the faces of players around the world.? This is all evident in the trailer
released during the announcement.
