Ten Of The Best MMORPG Songs Ever Heard

In many ways, an MMO is only as good as its music. Many of the best and most memorable moments in an MMO invariably have a song associated with them; a piece of music which brings the memories flooding back the moment it reaches one’s ears. Today, I’d like to pay homage to some of those songs – and some of those moments. Here, for your listening pleasure (and in no particular order, I assure you) is a list of some of the best songs ever heard in an MMO.

Transcript:
If you’re
still struggling to make the captain’s chair in Star Trek Online, then maybe
this weekend can be a chance for you to make up some ground.  Cryptic Studios has announced a huge
experience boost that begins today and runs through Monday March 10th.  You will see a 100% increase in exp that
extends to all activities that reward skill points and expertise.  Along with the event, players who missed the
Fleet Project will have a chance to take part in reruns which can help you upgrade
the interiors of your holdings.

Bioware has
finally announced player housing for Star Wars the Old Republic.  Since the games launch two years ago, the
community has been crying out for housing to make the cut into the game, and
although it’s taken a while, those cries have finally been heard.  Sadly, the information is incredibly limited
at this point, basically during a community event the dev team said that it’s
coming, and showed a brief video, but that was it.  Oh well, it’s not often we can get excited
about a couch.

Finally, a
leak from IGN hints at yet another Elder Scrolls Online beta weekend, which,
shouldn’t come as that much of a surprise.
Yes, we all know the game is coming out in a little under a month now,
so the developers have been banging out beta weekends at record pace.  If it were my guess, I’d think the beta
weekend would be open to anyone who has played in a previous beta, with
thousands upon thousands of keys being given out to any site that wants them,
including ones like ours .. wink wink.  I’m
assuming at this point most of you who have wanted to try ESO have played it,
and you probably don’t want to level up a character that will be wiped soon
anyways.

That’s it
guys. Thanks for watching the Daily XP. Like and subscribe to MMOAttack games

think we missed. See ya.

Star Trek Online – Season 6: Under Siege, Now Live

Perfect World Entertainment Inc. today announced the release of Star Trek Online Season 6: Under Siege. This latest major update to Star Trek Online introduces the Fleet (Guild) Advancement System, which allows Fleet members to construct, level-up and defend their own Starbase. Alongside new Fleet events and additional end-game content for max level players, with Season 6: Under Siege, the free-to-play MMO sees its first major Foundry update since launch.

Star Trek Online

Star Trek Online

Star Trek Online is the franchise’s recent foray into the free to play MMO realm. Since the game’s launch, this has the first time Star Trek fans can explore the Star Trek universe on a truly massive, online scale.

This Star Trek MMO from Cryptic Studios allows players to determine their own fate in the galaxy as the Captain of a Federation Starship, or play the game as a Klingon Warlord and expand the Empire throughout the galaxy.

Not only will players have the opportunity to visit iconic locations from the popular Star Trek movies and books, but will also be able to reach out to unexplored star systems and make contact with new, undiscovered alien species. One of the things that we here at MMO ATK like the most are the Episode Missions. Every moment spent playing Star Trek Online feels like you’re playing through an episode from the show. New characters pop-up, new conflicts arise, and discovering new systems, aliens, and starships is really fun. We’ve spent the better half of a work day just customizing our ships.

That brings us to the next best part of Star Trek Online, customization!

Using Cryptic?s Total Customization technology, every ship in the game can be customized, from its shape, color, and overall construction. Your ship will retain that Star Trek “feel,” (as they so eloquently put it) but will also represent your own unique style.

Sci-Fi MMO players will have a great time, even if you’re not a Trekkie, but Star Trek fans are in for a buffet of Trekkie goodness.

So go on and immerse yourself in Star Trek MMO universe, just don’t ask us to beam you back after you get sucked in.
