RuneScape has long been known for its incredible variety of festive events and seasonal cheer, so it’s only right that Jagex reveal yet another explosive set of events for this years Christmas celebrations in RuneScape.
The Festive Cheer event begins with a simple introduction to Santa Claus, which then allows players to interact with various activities and events introduced for the Christmas period. One of the most exciting elements of the update is the unique opportunity for the RuneScape community to come together and construct a huge Christmas cracker of 250,000 pieces of paper collected by those during a delivery quest. Once constructed players will be invited to share the spoils of its contents that include XP lams and festive jokes.
Other exciting aspects of the Festive Cheer event will see players challenge the new Snowverload, an epic new boss battle complete with festive rewards.
“The Christmas Fair event was incredibly well received in RuneScape last year, so it’s great to get into the spirit once again with this year’s ‘Festive Cheer’. The development team has been working hard to ensure there’s a mix of activities for players to participate in, not least snowboarding. For some, winter is coming – for the RuneScape community, winter is already here!”
