Tripwire Interactive is pleased to announce that the sequel to the multi-million zombie horde killing machine that was Killing Floor is now available worldwide on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC as Killing Floor 2 hopes to achieve the same levels of success as its predecessor. The original Killing Floor was not launched on the console market so that fact alone almost guarantees greater success for Killing Floor 2 but the team are not banking on potential player numbers alone as they’ve also introduced a wealth of new features to make the sequel worth of the Killing Floor name.
“We’ve poured our heart and soul into perfecting KILLING FLOOR 2, seeing all of the community feedback from the Early Access phase was invaluable, and to see the game’s full release today is truly overwhelming. We wanted to give existing fans the visceral action that this longstanding franchise is known for, as well as offer new fans a chance to experience the brutal joy that millions of gamers already know and love. Launching KILLING FLOOR 2 for the PC, and for the first time ever on consoles via the PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 4 symbolizes the next step for us at Tripwire Interactive and we could not be more ecstatic.”
Killing Floor’s trademark elements make a stout return as players slaughter endless waves of zombies with ridiculously over the top gory visuals, fluid controls, high-quality textures and accessible gameplay. Killing Floor 2 supports 6 player co-op and single player content with a new Versus Survival Game Mode also making its debut as for the first time in the franchise players will be able to take on the role of the bad guys.
