Tuesday March 20th, 2012 – New Game Releases

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Time to go over the new releases for today!

Kid Icarus Uprising – 3DS

Kid Icarus Uprising is Nintendo’s newest installment in the long ignored but fan cherished id Icarus series (the last game in the series came out on the original GameBoy).  In this new adventure, Pit goes 3D, both in polygons and dimension to save his friends.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City – PS3, 360

Return to the ill-fated Raccoon City in this new Third-Person Shooter by Capcom.  Taking place at the same time as Resident Evil 2 and 3 in 1998 (both of which are also at the same time as each other), players step into the boots of  Umbrella or US forces.  The game even features some cool decisions that alter the history of the series, such as killing Leon from Resident Evil 4.

Ninja Gaiden 3 – PS3, 360

The newest installment in the long-running and infamously challenging Ninja Gaiden series, Ryu Hayabusa returns with katana-weilding, hack and slash action, as well as breathtaking graphics that only Team Ninja can deliver.

Armored Core V – PS3, 360

Armored Core V brings mech action to consoles in the first game in the series since 2008.  Armored Core V has smaller mechs, allowing the player to be more tactical in the newer, city-based environments.

Silent Hill HD Collection – PS3, 360

Return to the horrors of Silent Hill 2 & 3 with more visual fidelity than before.  For those who have yet to play Silent Hill 2 or 3, especially 2, I don’t want to say to much, but it’s a brilliant psychological horror game that will leave you terrified and bewildered.  The Silent Hill games are not a series you should miss out on!
