Less than a week after the release of Neverwinter Online’s third free module, Curse of Icewind Dale, Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment revealed a fourth module scheduled to release this August, Tyranny of Dragons. The developers are keeping their cards close to their chest as they have yet to reveal any concrete information regarding new content and features but they did leave the following statement:
“This is a pivotal year for Dungeons & Dragons and we are
thrilled to have Perfect World and Cryptic on board to make Neverwinter a
key part of the D&D experience as we transition to the future,”
said Nathan Stewart, Dungeons & Dragons Brand Director. “The new
Tyranny of Dragons module is just the beginning of us bringing our new
serialized entertainment to the fans of both tabletop and digital games
Curse of Icewind Dale received huge praise from the community following the addition of new end-game activities and iconic locations from throughout the world of Icewind Dale. It’s pure speculation at present but some Neverwinter Online community members are hoping for a new class, some new progression paths and hopefully some added PvP options with the release of Tyranny of Dragons.
