Console Launch For The Elder Scrolls Online Arrives

Zenimax Online Studios are happy to announce the official release of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited as the long-awaited PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions finally hit digital and retail sales at midnight. PC players have been enjoying the opportunity to explore Tamriel in unlimited fashion following the buy-to-play transition in March but today marks the first release on console and it comes packaged with all the subscription-free goodness of Tamriel Unlimited.

As with the PC release players were given the option to pre-order their exploration opportunity in Tamriel with either the standard digital edition or the Imperial Edition of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. The Imperial Edition comes packed with exciting bonuses such as the additional playable race in the form of the Imperials, restriction free choice of race and alliance, and lots more.

  • All races playable in any alliance. Maybe you fancy being an Orc but want to fight alongside the Ebonheart Pact. Or perhaps you want your Nord to join up with the Aldmeri Dominion. In ESOTU, each faction is composed of three unique races. With the Explorer’s pack, you can pick any of the nine total races and align with any of the three factions, giving you even greater freedom to play the game however you like!
  • A precious pet. Fondly known as Warty, the Scuttler is a vanity pet you can only get through the Explorer’s Pack. Be the envy of your friends when you show up with this scaly rapscallion scampering around your heels! (Don’t worry, you can change Warty’s name.)
  • Treasure maps. Everyone likes loot. Get a leg up with a collection of maps that’ll lead you to hidden chests stuffed with treasure.

The game was made available to console players at midnight across the globe, including a surprise midnight launch at Game stores throughout the UK.
