Nine MMORPG Studios Form Gamer Safety Alliance

Account security and hacking is a serious matter, especially in the last year with the wave of hacks through 2011.  In response to these threats, nine major MMO game studios, those being SONY Online Entertainment, Turbine, NCSoft, Nexon, EA, Microsoft, Square-Enix, MindCandy, and En Masse Entertainment, have formed the Gamer Safety Alliance.  The organization was formed in order to “to break down traditional competitive barriers and share information and best practices within the computer and video game industry.”  You can go here to read what SOE has to say regarding MMORPG Account Security.
