EVE Online is the first class space-faring sandbox MMORPG developed by CCP. Players enter a vast universe as a rookie pilot. The universe is filled with planets, ships, asteroids, space stations, moons, wormholes, various complexes, and thousands of other players. EVE lets players choose their own class from hundreds of skills, keeping play free form and fluid, not as restricted and dependent on set skill trees as other MMORPGs do. The same free form method also applies to customizing ships, with hundreds of models, rigs, and subsystems to choose from.

During the FanFest in Reykjavik, Iceland, there were some more details pertaining to CCP?s World of Darkness. Chris McDonough wanted to address to everyone that progress was still being made despite its focus on Eve Online and Dust 514. “Our product is very much still in active development,” he explained. Apparently there will be things that will ?make [fans] go nuts.?

CCP launches investigation after accusation was made against Eve Online FanFest panel for disrespecting a suicidal player

An Eve Online player wrote to CCP and Eurogamer today criticizing the Thursday?s Alliance Panel presentation. The presenter of the Panel presentation wanted to ?encourage? the other players of Eve Online to harass the player in hopes of the player being obliged to act on these thoughts. CCP has given a statement on how they reacted.
