A new sci-fi MMORPG is incoming. Wildstar is set on a planet called Nexus where different factions are competing for dominance over it. This game is a colourful and stylish take on the genre with a whole menagerie of strange and wonderful creatures and a dash of wicked humour.
 
There are two groups seeking control over the planet named Nexus, the Exiled and the Dominion. There are currently six species, three in each group:
 
Humans have been wandering the Fringe in a ramshackle fleet for centuries and now they are looking to settle on Nexus. If the Dominion interfere with that, they are ready to fight.
The Granok were banished from their home planet by the Dominion and now live lives as mercenaries. They have come to Nexus to help the humans and settle a score.
The forest dwelling Aurin have made their new home on Nexus after their planet was razed by the dominion. They may love peace but they are willing to fight to get it.
The Cassian were chosen by destiny to establish the Dominion and gain control of the galaxy. They fight against the so-called vermin infesting it ? with style!
The warrior race called Draken are the foot soldiers of the Dominion. They are brutal and like to prove it.
Mechari are engineered to be highly efficient killing machines who make it their business to destroy traitors and spies in the Dominion ranks.
 
Currently there are four character classes to choose from:
 
The Warrior does things the old fashioned way, by using brute force and deadly weaponry to take care of business.
The Spellsinger uses a combination of quick firing pistols and magic spells to tear down their enemies fast.
The Stalker is a deadly assassin, stealthing through the battlefield to land precise strikes on their enemies.
The Esper uses their psychic abilities to confuse and control their opponents as well as inspiring and healing their allies.
 
As well as classes there are career paths to go down:
 
The Explorer discovers far-flung areas of the planet to claim for his or her faction and brings back valuable artefacts belonging to ancient civilisations.
The Scientist knows that knowledge is power and uses plants, minerals and dangerous alien organisms to discover new abilities.
The Soldier lives for epic battles, mastering weaponry and special combat skills as he or she climbs the ranks for fame, glory and fortune.
The Settler brings civilisation to this newly discovered planet by building new outposts and upgrading existing settlements to the benefit of your allies.
 
Wildstar is currently in its second closed beta with no release date specified as of yet. I look forward to seeing more details of this game as the concept seems solid and the media so far released looks vibrant and different to most of what we see in a typical sci-fi MMO. Keep an eye on this one people, it looks awesome!

Wild Terra

Wild Terra is a Massively multiplayer online role-playing game with open world. The main idea behind Wild Terra is to survive in the wild nature while harvesting, hunting, gathering, craft, building, PvPing, sieging, treasure hunting, and more! The game is a hybrid between action-RPGs and sandbox games. There are no NPCs in the game, so the only way to get anything accomplished is to do it yourself or buy it from other player (or take it with force).

In Wild Terra you will explore a huge world where every player can find a place for him or herself to enjoy and search for discoveries.

The game also features PvP with no hand-holding. There are dozens of types of weapons and armor along with many different ways to use them in the combat system.

The game is currently still in development but if you’d like to play it right away, you will have to purchase a bundle for Early Access. The bundles start at $9.99 and go up to $99.99 depending on what different features you would like to help you experience in the game.

Dragomon Hunter

Undecima

Undecima is a new online browser multiplayer strategy game developed by a man named Mik for six years.  Undecima launched on the 1st of June with the game’s Open Beta mode.
In short, in Undecima, you start in a small village, develop it to a big prosperous town.  Along the way you will complete a lot of upgrades and researches, advance through levels, and on the final one, capture a super powerful artifact!  If you are able to hold the artifact for three days, victory will be yours!

Some other interesting features of the game are:
–       Simple but efficient combat mode (e.g. you can scout, attack, defend, counter-attack, intercept, dodge, and reinforce your friends and enemies).
–       Lack of annoying macro-management. You have plenty of upgrades and researches to do, but can control only one town.
–       All units from very basic to elite have a set of abilities and skills that makes them unique in the game and useful in particular situations.
–       Ability to play either PvP or PvE or mix it at the same time. For example theoretically, you can finish the game without attacking another player (not sure if it’s going to be fun though).
–       Plenty of rewards, such as weekly ranking, overall ranks, medals, achievements and more.
–       The game is addictive, but doesn’t take up all of your time (here I’m not sure whether it’s a good point or bad).

Crossout

Set in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by an alien invasion and human genetic testing gone awry, Crossout tests players’ creativity in building, upgrading and customizing deadly armored vehicles to destroy enemies in open player vs player combat.

 

“Crossout is about customization, the freedom to construct the most destructive vehicles to wage war against your enemies”, said Anton Yudintsev, CEO of Gaijin Entertainment. “Trading, earning or purchasing parts and upgrades for vehicles, survivors can build the perfect fighting machine to their own preference, taking into account how each new addition affects the whole vehicle’s performance”.

No two vehicles in Crossout are the same, as players can create any kind of combat vehicle from the speediest buggy to the heaviest of off-road vehicles to reflect their warrior sense of gameplay. Offering complete customization, Crossout gives players thousands of possibilities to design their vehicle, including shape, armor, weapons, support systems and, cosmetic enhancements. Visit your own garage to build new advanced mechanisms and sell them via the in-game auction system.

Players also have multiple options when it comes to mass destruction – combat vehicles can be equipped with an explosive range of weapons from chainsaws, power drills and machine guns, to rocket launchers, flying drones and stealth generators. Featuring an advanced damage model, destroy any part of an enemy machine and it will affect that vehicle’s performance.

“When destroying your enemy’s gun with a precise shot and leaving him defenseless, that creates a lot of satisfaction,” said Stanislav Scorb, CEO of Targem Games. “And when you reach the enemy’s base, crawling on the only two wheels left, that’s even more exciting.”
