The annual Golden Joystick Awards took place this past Friday (October 26th) in London. The award show, started in 1982, takes the opportunity to honor the best the gaming industry had to offer from the year previous.
The students of the University of Windsor are hosting the biggest LAN tournament in South Western Ontario in hopes of bringing awareness to the ever-growing community of e-Sports and having fun while doing so.

Bloodline Champions is an arena PvP based game where the objective is to kill the opposing team. While an entertaining game it feels like something the publisher came up with to answer League of Legends with but failed miserably. That being said, it is an amusing diversion and children in particular may like its simplicity.

To compete with the huge and wildly-popular titles such as League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth went free-to-play last year. But now, with Dota 2 just itching to be released into the MOBA free-to-play slugfest, Heroes of Newerth is taking the plunge and making all of its heroes free-to-own as of July 20th.
Major League Gaming has announced the Online Qualifiers today for the opening League of Legends Summer Arena. They begin on July 10th when players begin competing in two regional qualifiers in North America and Europe.
